WHAT IS STING®

It is a Performance Management Framework that is designed by directors for use by directors to create and direct EFFECTIVE organisations. It uses elegant software to capture the cause and effect of day to day operations on the strategic goals and objectives of the company.

HOW DOES STING® WORK

It helps directors and managements map the alignment between the financial performance and business processes using the customer needs as a primary driver and learning as the key enabler. The standard versions comes with basic "trees" to assist management get a helicopter view of the performance of the company vis a viz the goals on an ongoing basis.


WHAT ARE THE HIGHLIGHTS OF STING®

1.
It uses the "traffic light" colour codes to indicate performance against targets and goals.

2. All users- directors, general management and supervisory ALL operate from the SAME information base.

3. It captures linkages on an ongoing basis- for example if sales mix changes what is the impact on profitability or capacity utilisation?

4. Each measure owners name is attached to a traffic light making for accountability.

5. The logical linkage of measures captures erroneous or false reporting by causing unexpected alterations that can be assessed by easy drill down to the appropriate level.

6. An easy to read scale under the traffic light captures status (excess, on or below) target versus budgets.

7. It sits on the desktop and permits ALL current Microsoft functionalities like word, excel, power point, projects and access. to be used from inside the software without having to exit and re-enter the system or open multiple windows. SO NO REWORK of current practices is required.

8. The system sends and receives emails either via Outlook or Lotus Notes.

9. It promotes powerful and timely communication by intelligent use of a unique DIARY function.

10. All comments are captured and maintained in the data base till the administrator has them removed making tracking effortless and easy while providing a scroll through of historic comments- an invaluable aid for a multi tasking manager and director.

11. It permits controlled simulation by any manager WITHOUT disturbing current scores.

12. It tracks and highlights when data is not captured at the stipulated level making all users fully accountable.

13. All data drill downs use click and drag listings from authorised libraries making it impossible for an individual to alter an established system of performance management.

14. IT provides the key information on line to enable proactive corrective action and by making it available across the organisation ensures transparency.

15. On power up of an online client server version can cause the KRA'a and KPI's for that specific manager to pop up. It creates a performance culture as it constantly captures and reports status on key, customisable deliverables. IT PROVIDES A CLEAR LINE OF SIGHT AND DEFINES OWNERSHIP.

16. The software comes with facility to prepare specific reports for board meetings. While operational performance can be easily captured the system permits creation of committee specific, confidential reports. As an example reports for the audit committee can be maintained on line without having a special group "prepare" the report for evaluation. Directors can look in and communicate on a real time basis if on line. Project reports can also be pointed into the system so on line review is feasible.

It is user friendly and requires NO KNOWLEDGE OF COMPUTERS TO USE EFFICIENTLY AND EFFECTIVELY. ALL that is needed is an ability move a computer mouse.
